Orion the hunter is one of the most recognizable and prominent constellations in the night sky. Archaeologists have found depictions of Orion from over 30,000 years ago, and cultures all over the world recognize this star grouping in various forms. It's seasonal appearance and disappearance was in an ancient calendaring. The pendant is small-batch cast from pewter and has been hand hammered and weathered for an antique look. The stars and the Orion Nebula are accurately placed, based on star maps, and are cut all the way through the pendant, down to the smallest magnitude we could manage. The back features the right ascension and declination, reversed to match the stars. As far as we know, this is the only constellation pendant in the world designed to this level of astronomical accuracy. The pendant measures 3cm in diameter and comes on an 18-20 inch steel snake chain or an adjustable brown leather cord.
